We are very pleased with the prison-feeding program, run by Pastor Akpa.
For over 3 years now, we have been able to assist this remarkable man of God whose heart is primarily focussed on reaching out to meet the needs of prisoners who live in deplorable and often hopeless conditions.

In spite of all the efforts made to try to have it redirected, it will, in fact, run through the orphanage site, totally obliterating everything…
We recently returned from a two month long working trip to the “Arise and Shine” Kogony Orphanage and Community project in Kisumu, Kenya. (January/February 2011) It was a joy to spend time with Nancy and Jonas and the 25 resident orphans (and 3 distant orphans.) The children are growing up so fast and met us with huge beaming smiles…
What a year of achievements it has been for the “Arise and Shine” Kogony Orphanage and Community Project, situated in Kisumu on the edge of Lake Victoria. Thanks so much to the continued investment and support from Edinburgh Direct Aid (EDA), standing shoulder to shoulder with our New Dawn Association team, huge infrastructure improvements are taking place or are in the pipeline…

The time we spent with them was extremely productive and encouraging…
